Dear 阿龍哥 and 好朋友，

May I share an article on 蔡總統’s 「客家政績」with you? Let’s see what she had done for Taiwan Hakka in past four years(2016-2020). 政績包括以下不同種類：

1. 修訂「客家基本法」，

2. 成立「講客廣播電台」，

3. 強化「客語能力認證」，

4. 打造「國家級浪漫臺三線」，

5. 推廣「幸福花、東臺九線」，

6. 創新「南部六堆客家文化」，

7. 推動/成立「客家國際聯盟」。

千方百計總動員

搶救客話為優先

艾森豪總統紀念廣場

Hi Thomas and Friends,

Just let you let know that there is a new landmark on National Mall, Washington, DC, called Eisenhower Memorial. It is on Constitution Avenue between Air and Space Museum and Department of Education building. For your information, ROC(Taiwan) donated 1 million US dollars for this memorial.

As you know, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg(=RBG) passed away yesterday. Many Americans were still in shock. Some showed up right after the breaking news at the Supreme Court and paid their tribute (追悼）with flowers and messages. Big Ben did the same and took some pictures to share with you.

華府蓮花季 花開花落又一年

Dear Thomas, Grace and Allen,

I know that you are all have been busy on your own life during this hot summer and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Thomas is working hard on his tea business, trimming trees and bushes in his billion dollars mansion and playing around lotus plants from the seeds. Grace is enjoying her grandkids(含飴弄孫當快樂！）I have not heard a single word from Allen since 羅先生 left us, H3LP fanatic bunch, behind. I really miss seeing and reading H3LPs from both Allen and Grace. May I express my feelings through Lotus in H3LP way?

客話早慢會流失

I have spent time and effort to search for the causes of dying Hakka language in Taiwan since I fell in love of writing H3LP under guiding light of late CS Lou(關西羅慶士先生）in 2012. Here are some thoughts for your reference.

客家委員會

花了二十年時間

講客人口年年少

客家委員會

用掉百姓納稅錢（至少二十億）

客庄講客年年減

原因佇奈位

爾知厓知大家知

自家毋敢去面對

照這情形看

客話早慢會流失

臺灣客庄難復興

還係該句話

自家客家自家救

要學習「聽」「講」「讀」「寫」

If 「客委會」 and all 「客家學院」are willing to start this task in house, there might be a good chance to save Hakka from becoming extinct. Hakka, in general sense and to me, are 「客家話」、「客家人」、「客家文化」、「客家庄」、「客家民族」。常聽講，不「痛」則「亡」，客家人要「痛」主動，才能搶救客家話。

共下埋在新埔庄（枋寮）

從此喊作義民廟

一兩百年來

十幾客家庄輪流

殺豬敬拜義民爺

客家人盡慶

出錢出力用歲月

這種文化傳到今

客家人也慘

為了傳承義民魂（摃撐黑令旗）

漸漸遺失祖先言（忘記阿姆話）

現在後生人

多數會聽毋會講

無心意學「聽」學「講」

假使有一日

客庄冇聽客家話

臺灣就冇客家人

客家个存亡

不能只拜義民廟

傳承母語較重要

跈甯天氣大變化（會變動）

時熱時冷難賭注（難猜測）

依照目前看，多數民調偏拜登（Biden)，川普連任冇希望。因為BLM(黑人生命重要？），黑人選票完全投分民主黨；相對看清楚，白人選票偏向共和黨。If more independents (中間選民）swing their votes to RNC in November, Donald Trump will win again by a very slim

margin.
