Hi, 羅 老師, Scott and folks,
(I have a dream.)
(A huge riot was also occurred in the city after King's assassination on April 4, 1968.)
(In the war of 1812, American soldiers held and defeated British invasion at Fort McHenry, Baltimore.)
(The Johns Hopkins University)
1. "We, as a country, all have to do some soul searching."
2. "Without change, the cycles of riots will continue.........."
Scott, Big Ben does not know how and what to say about your question, "what is going on?" However, he knows
what happened in Baltimore last night has something to do with the poverty, unemployment and maybe, laziness of some blacks in the city for many years. Therefore, the teenagers are confused between two worlds, the love felt at home and the rejection received outside. Do you remember this saying of MLK,Jr.?
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."
Let's pray and hope that those people, in particular of young ones, in Baltimore and anywhere in the world would not live in the darkness anymore and would try hard to find light in their lives soon.
Best regards,
Big Ben
