Hi, 羅 先生，阿龍哥 and Hakka Friends,

May I share six photos taken between Washington Monument and Vietnam Memorial on National Mall on Memorial Day, May 25th, 2020? Due to COVID-19 scare and the lockdown by DC Government, the crowd is so scarce that you can count how many veterans, families and friends standing there, laying their hands on the names of their loved ones engraved on that V wall. This empty scene, compared to every year in the past, hits Big Ben emotionally hard.

追思 鍾老

綠頭鴨（American Mallard) 任重道遠

Hi, 羅先生，阿龍哥 and 客家前輩，

May I share three photos of mother mallard caring a dozen babies, taken in the Constitution pond between Washington monument and Lincoln memorial last weekend? See what how lovely these ducklings are and how responsible this mother mallard is!  Are you curious where the father mallard is? Nearby? Nope! According to the study of ornithologist (鳥類學者）,

the male just take off after it’s mating and the female lay eggs, hatch them and take care of of baby ducks for up tp 60 days. She protects her young ones from the attack from other mallard. 可以看出來，綠頭鴨姆「慈祥」也「兇悍」，對毋對？

照顧一打細鴨仔

鴨公無影也無跡（鴨公到底走奈去）

Let’s hope that 蔡總統 will learn from this mother mallard’s responsibility; 蘇院長 will follow and realize his 「任重道遠」;游院長 will accomplish「臺灣新憲法」‘s resolution with our(24 million Taiwanese) support in the next four years. Then Taiwan will eventually be accepted as a Country by the world.

Hi, 秋濤哥，

講到轉臺灣

前後講有十年咧

病疫一過好時機

提到老臺僑

美國至少有上萬

六十年代留學生

這群臺美人

離鄉背井半世紀

爭扎「歸根」、「生根」間

落葉生根群

靠政府長照計劃（=Medicare?)

日子過得像神仙

落葉歸根群

臺灣政府無政策

心有餘而力不足

政府係有心

撥款設「臺僑會館」

換迎臺僑轉娘家

借臺僑會館

方便短期去尋根

再決定「落葉歸根」

真經係「歸根」

多多少少做兜事

回饋自家老故鄉

總講一句話

大家相信老臺僑

能夠奉獻還盡多

毋會亂用健保卡

毋會浪費納稅錢

肺炎疫情後

希望接受老臺僑（接受=歡迎？）

落葉歸根活到老

承蒙陳醫師介建議，老張包「捷足先登」轉故鄉，大力鼓吹、推動、介紹「落葉歸根夢」！

蒼鷺看天下

Hi, Thomas, 羅先生 and Hakka Senbai,

Hope all is well with you during this COVID-19 pandemic crisis! Big Ben does not know whether the trip to see and care for those heron up in the trees (60 ft high) is considered as “Essential Travel” or not. But he has been doing it once or twice a week since “stay home” order started on 3/31/20 in Maryland. Going out to see them does really help to reduce the depressed tension caused by this lockdown.

武漢肺炎傳（染）

人心失落社會亂

政府到今無頭緒

疫情無轉好（=改善）

居家命令再延後

延到五月十五日（in Maryland, Virginia and DC)

蒼鷺看天下

武漢病毒搞人類

疫情傳染全世界

蒼鷺顧自家
