Dear Amy, Ching-wei, Agnes, 真一哥, David, Josephine and all,
Be sure to read this email in our mother tongue, 客家, to make more sense and to have some fun and challenge.

Please trust me on this one. Only, we, Hakka in Taiwan and abroad working side by side and hand in hand together CAN save ourselves. Counting on others would be a joke and a waste of time again and again. However, still keep a very slim HOPE that she really means it when elected. That is, 改變民進黨二十五年个傲漫、野蠻、漠視、疏忽、故意等態度,同時,改革現在這个亂(爛)政府。
Can we do it? Of course, we CAN (1) if we would learn and find some new ways to deal with the same old problems; (2) if we would change our attitudes a little bit toward the things, fishy and bothersome; (3) if we could try to ask others to also change their attitudes toward issues disagreed or unhappy experience. Anyhow, in the last fifty years, caring Taiwan's everything with emotional ups and downs, I have kept on fighting myself and many Holo and foreign(外省) folks here and everywhere to say, "I am a damn proud Taiwan Hakka; I speak your tongues and do you understand mine? Taiwan's INDEPENDENCE movement will not succeed without Taiwan Hakka's presence and support. "
May I humbly share a few quotable notes which keep me fighting/forging/charging forward for half a century with you all?
1. "Those who don't know history are destined to repeat it." (Edmund Burke, Irish statesman, 1729-1797)
2. "The best way out is always through." (Robert Frost, American poet, 1874-1963.)
3. " Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close to success when they gave up." (Thomas Edison. Inventer, 1947-1931)
4. " When unhappy, one doubts everything. When happy one doubts nothing." (Joseph Roux, French clergyman, 1834-1905)
5. "Nobody made greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little." (Edmund Burke)
To sum up, let me borrow Maya Angelou's notable quote, "If you find it in your heart to care for somebody else, you will have succeeded." to ask myself and you all,
"If we find Hakka Taiwanese in your heart to care for Taiwan Hakka(爭取臺灣客家人權益), we will have succeeded."
Best regards,
Big Ben
