visited TECRO Culture Center and received a calendar, a Spring Festival
couplet(春聯）and a hand-carried bag yesterday afternoon. I love the bag
with Taiwan black bear and “I love Taiwan” on it. Did you get your
shares yet?

雪鴞出現在馬里蘭州
Hi Thomas and Grace,
There
was more surprise to the bird group of Maryland, Virginia and District
of Columbia. A second snowy owl showed up in Cambridge, Maryland last
week after the first one visited the Union Station, Washington, DC early
this year of Tiger. We went along with this frenzy and saw this
beautiful creature.

to bird specialist, some snowy owls would fly south to Canada, New
England and New York in Winter. The snowy owl, also known as the polar
owl, the white owl and the arctic owl, is a large, white owl of the true
owl family. They are native to the arctic region of both North America
and the Palearctic, breeding mostly on the tundra.

You are too young to know what was going on in Taiwan in 1954. It was the end of Korean War and there was 14,000 prisoners of the war. They are all from PRC’s liberation army.

American red fox (美國紅狐狸）
Hi Thomas and Grace,
Did
you ever see and run into a red fox in the wild field(=野外？）？ We spotted
this little guy in a split second at Lake Wheston, Gaithersburg,
Maryland yesterday. He disappeared in the bushes in no time and no
where. National Geography reported that a red fox was rarely found in
the west but seen in Yosemite, California in 2015 after its long
disappearance in Nevada mountains.

一群「白尾鹿」{white-tailed deer}
Hi Thomas and Grace,
It’s a
rigid cold but sunny beautiful day for outing. On the way home we saw
this herd of white-tailed deer standing there just off the road in
Potomac, Maryland. It is almost two dozens of them. What a sight or what
a view!

這兜白尾鹿
个个竳竳目瞪金
看來身體盡康健
人生第一擺
看到恁多白尾鹿
共下出門尋食物
