想著阿姆粽

今年五月節
訂購八十美玉粽﹝=華府美玉姐个河洛粽,號稱天下第一粽。﹞
親朋好友全有份

天下第一粽
再香鼻冇家鄉味
再食食冇客家味

記著阿姆粽
糯米Q香包好料
蝦米菜哺半肥肉

想著阿姆粽
粽香好食吞口水
奈知阿姆个辛苦 or 永記家鄉佇台灣

May I take this opportunity to ask a few questions about the May festival and 粽仔?

       (1) What do we, Taiwan Hakka, call this festival? 五月節or 端午節or else. 聽講,河洛人用「五日節」取代。
       (2) How do you call 粽仔 in English in Taiwan? Rice ball or Bamboo rice dumpling or else?
       (3) What is the main difference between Hakka 粽 and Holo 粽? What about 外省粽?
       (4) What about 甜粽 or 鹼(Gi)粽? Are they still popular in Taiwan? I loved it as a kid.
       (5) On this special day in May, do we share 粽仔 with our ancestors?
       (6) Are Hakka 粽仔 steamed or boiled?
