欣賞大自然

Dear 羅先生，阿龍哥 and 客家前輩，

During this crisis of COVID-19(武漢肺炎病毒）, there is a flashing sign of “Save Lives, Stay Home, Essential Travel Only” on the Interstate Highway in Washington, DC. However, we are allowed to go to local parks for exercise so long as the rules are followed, I.e., wearing face mask, social distancing(6 ft apart) and no group (more than 10 people?) gathering. On last weekend, Big Ben headed out to a nearby Brookside Garden for his walk and took some photos to share with you.

湖水、涼亭、杜鵑花

蒼鷺飛上又飛下 (飛來飛去很瀟灑）

You know what. This great blue heron entertained a bunch of people, young and old, for almost an hour. It seems he becomes so used to mankind around. When I sneaked in the bushes and took that close shot, he is just a few feet away in the water.

Well, let’s trust one another, obey those orders given by the government and we will get through this crisis together.

I am quite shocked to see this news(tabbing the link below) yesterday. I am also very impressed to know that the daily life still go on as usual, i.e., schools open, restaurants doing business, professional baseball games on, government doors open, etc. Taiwan is indeed doing number one job under this crisis of Wuhan virus!

According to Dr. Fauci, Director of NIH’s NIAID(National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases), U. S. businesses may be open as the earliest on May 1st if  everyone across the country sticks to “stay home” and “social distancing” order. Let’s hope so.

最近看到ㄧ條新聞，客委會又撥上千萬，整修北埔一個宮廟。為了觀光修祠堂，宮廟，二十零年來，花忒幾多經費？請問一下，客庄經濟好到奈？對厓來講，不如利用這兜錢，創新、創意，實際在地行動，「教」當地居民（包括新住民、河洛、原住民、洋人等）「學」講客。想要「世代相傳客家文化、語言」，先決條件係：『要求鄉鎮公所全部愛用客話」；係接受「毋曉講、聽毋識」這个答案，嗯哩永遠無法「復興」客家文化，爾講對無？去哪位「學」客話？非常容易，去補習班「學」；臺灣補習班滿奈係，向客委會申請經費開班，請「客語薪傳師」或在地个「客語老師」兼課；一舉兩得，何樂不為！
