Enlightenment Movement is very much wanting in Taiwan and , I firmly believe, is good for building up Taiwan consensus.

It’s never too late to start doing a good thing for the people of Taiwan as well as for the people elsewhere in the world. Frankly speaking, democracy is nothing but a freedom of speech, a freedom of choice for one’s way of living and thinking Including the choice of political systems. We really need a thousand of MLK Jr. here in Taiwan to enlighten people how to speak out, “I have a dream”. Be it a dream for rule of law and order, an independence as a sovereign nation in the United Nations, a democratic government by the people/of the people/for the people and so forth.

The situation of Taiwan now is very much similar to that of The US before its independence and after the independence in 1850s. “ A house divided against itself cannot stand.” said Lincoln in 1858. The same is true of Taiwan as well as of DPP itself; if we could first know where we are, and whither we are tending or going, we would better judge what to do, and how to do it.

Enlightenment movement is for Taiwan as a whole, no pro-blue or pro-green problem neither pro-Su or pro Tsai one.
